Sock sets with 100+20g 4-ply/fingering yarn is very popular with yarn dyers, but not everyone wants to make socks. Here’s a pattern for a shawl, designed to use a sock set of yarn.

Yarn: The Little Grey Girl sock set, 100g+20g (425m/100g + 85m/20g) 75% Superwash merino & 25% Nylon 
Approx. 395m of the main colour and 82m of the contrast was used in the sample. 
Needles: 3.5mm/US4
Gauge: broken rib, blocked 22 sts/10cm 
Notions: stitch marker
Finished measurements: 165cm wingspan, 50cm deep
